Hawker Tempest MK V

The Tempest was developed from the earlier Typhoon, and entered service in April 1944.
It was a last fast fighter,powered by the 2260-hp Napier Sabre engine,and was one of the few aircraft capable of intercepting the V1 flying bombs launched against England in the latter months of the war.
